Patients have to use the TraceTogether App to record the entry to hospital and to show the printed or online version of the check-in pass upon arrival at the Changi Hospital. Patients need to fill in the Declaration Form at the Hospital too.
From 26 April 2022, in-person visits to hospitals are allowed for everyone regardless of the vaccination status of patients, residents and visitors.
All caregivers and visitors are encouraged to perform an Antigen Rapid Test (ART) self-test prior to visiting the patients. But no visitors are allowed for suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Changi General Hospital services are divided into clinical specialties and specialist centres. Clinic department includes cardiology, dental care, dermatology, emergency medicine, infectious diseases, plastic and reconstructive surgery, respiratory medicine etc.
Specialist centres include a breast centre, wound healing centre, diabetes centres, medical centre for travellers, Singapore Sports and Exercise Medicine Centre, SNEC Eye Clinic, spine centre and more.
Pre-Admission
Patients who need to undergo surgery and stay at Changi Hospital might need to have a review at the Pre-Admission Anaesthesia Clinic if the patient has a medical condition such as high blood pressure or diabetes.

During Your Stay
During the hospital stay, the daily routine includes activities such as ward rounds by doctors, medication, meals, visiting hours and bedtime. However, this routine may vary as laboratory tests, x-ray, treatment and other procedures will take place if required.
Discharge Procedures
The hospital’s discharge time is 11:30am (before lunch). An additional charge may be imposed for discharges after 11:30am and a full day charge may be imposed for discharge after 5:00pm.

Patients may use Medisave, the Singaporean national medical savings scheme, as well as the Medishield Life, a Central Provident Fund (CPF) administered basic health insurance plan, to cover the medical bills at Changi General Hospital.
MediShield Life coverage is for subsidised treatment in public hospitals. As MediShield Life payouts are pegged at Class B2/C wards, the MediShield Life payout will make up a small proportion of the bill only. The patient may therefore need to pay more of their bill from Medisave and/or cash.
Private Medical Insurance is a scheme which allows CPF members to use their Medisave savings to buy Medisave-approved Integrated Shield Plans for themselves and their dependents.
Dependents refer to a member’s parents, spouse, children and grandparents. Premiums can be paid from your Medisave account, with a limit of S$800 per annum per person, or S$1150 for those above 80 years old.
